This module has been designed to study staticfluids and manometry. It provides the user an introduction to the behaviour ofliquids under hydrostatic conditions (fluids at rest) and to the application ofthose principles in the pressure measurement by using different manometric tubes.It allows the user to demonstrate the properties of Newtonian fluids and tounderstand a wide range of basic principles before studying fluids in motion

  • The module is mounted on an aluminumstructure and painted steel panels and consists of a vertical tank (made ofmethacrylate, diameter: 100 mm and height: 575 mm) containing water that is connectedto different vertical manometer tubes (460 mm length):
  •  One U shape vertical tube.
  •  Two parallel vertical tubes.
  •  One vertical tube with variable section.
  •  One vertical tube with a pivot that allows itto incline from 0 to 90Degree.
  • These tubes can be used individually or incombination for the different demonstrations.
  • Vernier hook and point gauge.
  • Piezometric tube.
  • Manual air pump.
  • Purge valve.
  • Plug to close the tank, so that it is notopen to atmospheric pressure
